North America: 3D Body Scan Collection (2000-2002)

The CAESAR™ North American collection includes 2,391 individuals. Included Data Standing and seated 3D body scans in compressed PLY format (.ply.gz) 3D landmark coordinate files (.lnd) 1D anthropometric measurements, including manually collected and scan-derived measurements Demographic information and measurements organized in the All NA_AllPublic Metric Excel workbook Consolidated 3D landmark coordinates for standing A and B poses in Excel files AFRL-0169 Volumes 1 and 2, documenting the data collection process The WEAR Advantage: WEAR has combined separate demographic, manual measurement, and scan-derived measurement files into linked Excel worksheets organized by subject number. Data from multiple collection sites have been consolidated, collection location has been retained, and redundant files have been removed. Data completeness: Some subjects have missing or incomplete data. Landmark coordinates were not extracted from the seated C pose. These improvements make the collection easier to navigate and use for product fit, sizing, ergonomics, digital human modeling, and research.
